This quaint 2 bedroom apartment is located in a converted 1800’s boarding house in the darling hamlet of Brooktondale. It has old original charm with modern updates, plenty of light, a fully equipped kitchen, and new comfortable queen mattresses with luxury linens, powerful shower and soaking tub. There is high speed internet, washer and dryer, and a smart TV. A perfect place for a longer stay or for visitors to rest up after a busy day exploring the area.

The space
The space is decorated with vintage treasures and local art. It gets flooded with light making it a great place to work from home or just relax. Read from an assortment of books, play board games or listen to music with Alexa. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to make meals. Our beloved Brookton’s Market organic market/deli is right down the street for most of your grocery needs. We provide coffee and teas and spices and oils. The porch is a nice place to enjoy an evening beverage and watch people go by as well. It’s a casual environment to relax and make yourself at home in.

Brooktondale is an 8 minute drive to downtown Ithaca and closer yet to Ithaca College or Cornell campuses. It is also on the bus route to town and Uber/Lyft convenient. Six Mile Creek runs through the center of the village making it a nice place to stroll. Brookton’s Market has 24 micro brew taps as well as cider and wine options if you just want to stay local. We love to hang out there and listen to live bands on Thursday nights! There is plenty of hiking, camping, mountain biking and cross country skiing close by. We will leave you with a list of suggestions to our favorite restaurants and haunts.

I am an Ithaca native and have owned a hair studio in downtown Ithaca for 30 years. I love my community and inspiring others to enjoy what the area has to offer. I like to travel, live music, art, good food, gardening and all things outdoors. I have 2 children and I am a musician.

During your stay

I live in the house in a separate apartment-both entrances are accessed from the front porch so I may see you when coming and going. I would love to socialize if I'm available, but will totally give you space if you prefer.
