Welcome to Henrys Cabin ! Located right on the beautiful Skootamatta River, this one bedroom open concept cabin has everything you need for a romantic night away with your significant other, or a family get away with you and the kids. The ideal spot for people who love the outdoors, with 30 acres to explore, there is a trail that takes you directly to a private back lake which is the perfect spot for fishing and canoeing. The cabin is located directly next to the E101 ATV and Snowmobile Trail.

The space
Henrys Cabin is a cozy 320sqft off grid cottage with all of the necessities required for vacation. The kitchen is stocked with all of the essential dishes and cooking tools required. There is a butane one burner cook top, a kettle, a french press, a mini fridge and a BBQ. A duvet, pillows and throw blankets are provided. Enjoy the evening by the outdoor fire pit that overlooks the river and you will see hundreds and hundreds of stars on a clear night. There is a canoe with 2 paddles at the back lake if you'd like to explore there. The main heat source is a wood stove so you will have to know the basics on how to operate it. There is an off-grid washroom attached to the cabin but must be accessed from the outside (composting toilet). There is an outdoor shower in the warm months.

Henrys Cabin is located directly next to the ATV and Snowmobile Trail. There are many places to explore on the 30 acres of land including a private back lake to go canoeing, pioneer rock walls that were used as log shoots, a swimming hole in the summer and of course the Skootamatta River. The cabin is also located 15 minutes from Bon Echo Park as well as many lakes and beaches.

During your stay

My family and I live a 10 minute drive away, so if there is anything you may require last minute we can make arrangements to have it provided to you. My father in law does live on the property, he is there if you need anything urgently but you most likely will not see him. You will drive past his house and down a long driveway towards the cabin. He does have a VERY friendly dog named Buddy who minds his own business and wants nothing but affection.
