Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space 15 minutes from Glacier National Park on the edge of Lewis & Clark National Forest. The Aspen House, a former art studio & gallery, features 3 beds, 2 living areas, 1.5 baths, and is a perfect staging spot for your hikes into the Park or just as a wilderness getaway. The property features the Cedar Lodge next door which also hosts guests, wildlife like deer and moose (and the occasional bear), and a large pond home to dozens of bird species.

The space
The downstairs of the Aspen House features the kitchen and a living/dining area as well as the master bedroom, full bath with tiled shower, and a W/D. Upstairs there is another large living area with an entertainment station, as well as two more bedrooms and half bathroom. All bedrooms have queen beds, and the full, pull-out futon in the upstairs living area provides an additional sleeping space. There is unlimited, high-speed internet available at the houses (a given nowadays in most places, but not out here). PLEASE NOTE: Because the house is a former art studio and gallery it only has one shower.

This property is located on the Heart Butte Cutoff (aka Cutacross) Road, a well-traveled gravel road just outside of East Glacier Park Village. The residents living in this area are very friendly, and you'll probably see people walking their dogs along the road. The turnoff for the Heart Butte Cutoff Road is approximately 1.2 miles SW of East Glacier on the left-hand side of Hwy. 2 going towards Kalispell. If you're coming from Kalispell, the turnoff is after the turnoff to Bison Creek Ranch, on the right-hand side of Hwy. 2. Once you're on the road, look for signs for "Midvale Creek" on the left-hand side of the road, after you enter the trees, approximately two miles from the turnoff at Hwy. 2.

Growing up on the Blackfeet Nation I spent most of my childhood outdoors camping, riding horses, and hunting. After attending college in Walla Walla, WA and Portland, OR and grad school in Monterey, CA I moved to NYC where I worked in investment banking for several years. At the start of the 2020 pandemic I moved back home where I initially continued to work remotely, but very quickly realized there were a number of issues affecting my community that were exacerbated by the pandemic which I had the skills and knowledge to help solve. I started a consulting practice and now work closely with the Blackfeet Tribe and other local governments on issues related to economic development. I travel a lot for work, so you might end up talking to one of my parents and business partners, Rachael or Gordon, who own and manage several businesses in Browning - including Nation's Burger Station (you can't miss it when you drive through town). Airbnb is a wonderful opportunity for us to share what we love so much about Glacier and the Blackfeet Nation, and we hope to make your stay as incredible as possible.
