Enjoy the feeling of backwoods seclusion in our cozy, rustic mountain cabin. Only a 500m walk from the farmhouse, this private cabin is nestled at the edge of the forest overlooking the fields of the Canoe Valley. It backs onto the Rocky Mountains and has views of the Monashee and Caribou Mountain ranges.

This is a walk-in cabin, so you will need to be prepared to carry what you need in. Kitchen supplies and bedding are provided. There is no running water and the bathroom is an outhouse.

The space
During your stay you can use the outdoor fire pit in front of the cabin, enjoy the surrounding spectacular scenery and take a walk around the forest and farm. This is a working farm, so you may see cattle grazing near the cabin, tractors working in the fields, or us tending the garden below the cabin. There is also a lot of wildlife that call this place home. You are likely to see deer grazing at dawn and dusk, hear coyotes howling at night, and may even witness the occasional black bear foraging for fruit or greens. The nights are dark, revealing the spectacular night sky and occasionally the northern lights. Mosquitoes also thrive in the country, so be prepared for them from mid-May to August.

This rustic one room cabin is heated with a wood burning stove. Firewood and kindling is provided. A mosquito net is provided over the bed. For cooking you have a small fridge, electric kettle, electric hot plate, pots, pans, utensils and dishes. The cabin has electricity but there is no running water or plumbing. You will be provided with large water bottles for cooking and washing. The bathroom is an outhouse about 30m from the cabin. There is no bath or shower.
