Ina Ytter and her pianist welcome guests in their unique artist recidence full of magical ambiance.

Here you may have a lovely rest in the apartment's master bedroom, take a relaxing bath in the orange tub and get invited to Helsinki vibes with locals.

The apartment is hidden in the silence of the court yard in the very heart of town, Kamppi, full of things you’ll want to experience within walking distance and with good connections to the more distant must-sees.

Where you’ll be

Helsinki, Finland

You will be staying on Fredrikinkatu, at the bustling border of Kamppi and Punavuori, strictly on the Kamppi side though, the border being laid along street Bulevardi.

Kamppi is a central, thus also vibrant neighbourhood that looks like a Roy Andersson film set. You know, where everyone else are probably just Truman Show cast and where houses don't house inhabitants because they are not real houses, they only pretend, and so there are no locals but only you and the Truman Show cast. But in a good way.

That's first impression Kamppi vibes for you, but that's not nearly the whole truth. The infinite presence of 'imaginary busy' around here hides real people doing real things in real houses, to be revealed to the ones who attention choose to pay.

Featuring a lot of valued architecture that give home to a spectrum of street level businesses from Fine Dine, Finer Art and the Finest Niche Boutique to Vegan&Vintage w/ a glass of Natural, preferably Orange, Kamppi makes a perfect stroll-around-town-and-observe/-consume/-downtown-activity-of-your-choise district.

Crossing all of Kamppi and beyond, my beloved and oh-so-long home street Fredrikinkatu gently escorts you, if you please, all the way from the famous bunker church in distant Töölö towards the more (sub)cultured Punavuori, "Red Mountain", a former labour neighbourhood, current cultural cradle of Southern Helsinki (if you ask me) and definitely a party district, if only you know where to look (ask me).

At the end of Fredrikinkatu, if you're still hungry for more, you'll find "Five Corners" (Viiskulma) with four new directions to choose from. In case of blisters on feet I recommend tram, city bike, electric scooter or Yango/Uber. Here it's easy to get around!
