SUMMER in HEMSEDAL!

Welcome to Norway's new trail bike destination, Hemsedal. Here you can now plunge into Norway's toughest flight path that goes from the top of Hollvinheisen and via many dosed turns, jumps and bumps take you down to Tindenheisen, where the random transport trail goes until the entire path is completed in autumn 2021.

The chairlift runs every day during the summer holidays and then you can try your hand at the first 6.5 km of the entire 10.5 km blue flow path that opens in September 2021. The start of the flow path is from the top of the summer open chairlift Hollvin Express in Hemsedal ski center. Read more about Hemsedal rides as the very new "trail bike mecca" is called.

Tottelia is Hemsedal's playground for us on two wheels. Centrally located between the city centre and Hemsedal ski centre, right behind the Fyri Hotel. Here you will find round tracks with green, blue and red gradations, a total of 2 km of flow, dosages and jumps for all levels. Here you will also find a cosy fire place for a break with great views of the valley. Keep in mind that the red graded race is just red, here are jumps that require some technique and speed to complete.

We also have other marked cycle routes in the valley, in the forest, on the high mountain, on dirt roads and trails. All the routes are connected so you can ride to all sights and attractions in Hemsedal. You can learn more about these in our bike brochure. Here are some tips for bike rides.

If you fancy more challenges by bike and are flexible to take your car around Hallingdal, then you will find many cool trails and pump tracks that you can challenge yourself in. Check out Nesbyen, Gol and Geilo among others, look for Hallingdal rides here further down.

Waterfall hunt in Hemsedal!

Rjukandefossen is perhaps the most famous waterfall for good reason. Only a short drive from Hemsedal city centre, or a short bike ride from Tuv, you will find Rjukandefossen; a large and powerful waterfall where there are at times daring adrenaline junkies that balance on the line, try zip-line or dive from cliffs slightly below the waterfall. Take the trip.

Directions
Find it by following highway 52 towards Tuv, and further direction Lærdal and look for signs along the road towards Rjukandefossen, park your car and follow the path until you hear the waterfall.
