Great check-in experience
100% of recent guests gave the check-in process a 5-star rating.
This cozy cabin sleeps 4 and is nestled in the hills of Lake Douglas. With mountain views and lake front access, you'll have time to relax, fish, boat and view the mountains from the back porch. 25 minutes from Pigeon Forge (Dollywood) and 45 minutes from Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountain Nation Park. There is no shortage of things to do in this area, but while you're back at the cabin, you'll be happy you chose Shady Shore.

*The lake water level is low from Sept to March*

The space
This is a very open cabin with high wood ceilings and beautiful windows letting in lots of natural light. The back deck is where you'll spend a lot of time sitting on the log love seat rockers staring at the mountains and the night sky. There is a path down to the lake in the backyard. It's a steep walk down. You'll be able to fish and swim in the summer months when the water is at normal level. We have a fishing dock where you can sit and relax at the bottom of the hill.

*The TVA lowers the water level of the lake starting in September and runs through March. Most of the water will be gone in the winter months in our area of lakefront. This will not obstruct any views from the porch since the lake is blocked by trees.

Where you’ll be

Sevierville, Tennessee, United States

This area of the lake is an absolute blast to drive. Please drive slow until you are more comfortable with the roads. There are many blind corners and elevations changes. If there is snow, you'll need to be very slow. An all wheel drive vehicle would be best in these conditions. It's about a 15 minute drive off of the main road where the closest gas station is.
