Where you’ll be

Senja, Troms og Finnmark, Norway

Here in Fjordgård there is a small supermarket with integrated café and a pub.

Many people come to Fjordgård to visit the iconic summit of Segla. From our house you can already see the mountain and just have to head up the road to reach the starting point of the famous trail. Apart from the popular hikes around Segla, Hesten, Barden and Inste Kongen (Kongebrua), Senja has many other things to see. The Ånderdalen national park, Tungeneset, Ersfjordstranda (it might sound weird, but there is a famous toilet!), Husøy, Hamn i Senja and the Bergsbotn viewing platform over Bergsfjorden are some of them.

If you want to take further trips, aside from Tromsø, the next bigger city is Finnsnes. Some guests also want to visit Narvik or Harstad. To the east there is Lyngen and the Three-Country Cairn, where Norway, Finland and Sweden meet. To the west you find the Vesterålen and Lofoten islands. There are a few ferry connections here that make exploring trips easier: you might want to take the ferry from Senja to Andenes to explore the Lofoten, or the ferry to Brensholmen to explore Sommarøy and Kvaløya.
