Judge Brewer is well known for being an advocate of equal labor rights for women and for African Americans right to vote!! Leavenworth is the first city of Kansas. It is rich with history!! Tour Esplanade St alongside the Missouri River. Visit the escape room housed in an old bank building. Visit downtown Leavenworth shops. Be sure to stop by Freedom Armz the only self defense shop in the oldest city!! Most shops are owned by our veterans! Dine in one of Leavenworth’s local restaurants! Great food reasonable prices! The Depot, Pullman place, ten penny, Luigi’s are local favorites! Stop by karma bakery for some goodies! And don’t forget Westons night life! A short 15 minute drive

Hi, longtime Kansas City metro resident. My youngest daughter majors in historic preservation. We are History enthusiasts that really enjoy restoring structures that are of historical significance, and preserving them for future generations.
I have always appreciated the quality materials that were utilized when building older structures, and the craftsmanship and character that went into these creations! The time, effort and passion that was dedicated to the construction really shine through.
