A beautiful 2 bedroom apartment in the tranquil village of Doochary , 10 mins from the wild Atlantic way. Around the corner is a traditional country pub where the best pint of Guinness is to be had. the friendly locals love to meet and chat with visitors to our lovely area. The building itself is was built in the 1800s and has served its time as stables originally, then up until 1970s a clothes mill before undergoing a total renovation in the 1990s when it was renovated into 3 modern apartments.

Where you’ll be

Doochary, County Donegal, Ireland

the village where the apartment is located is a beautiful example of rural ireland. only 10 mins from the wild atlantic way. There is a lovely little pub with a friendly atmosphere where the locals are willing to impart their knowledge of the area. Go for a walk along the river trail and witness the beauty of the gweebarra river which runs through the village, famed for its salmon fishing. You will see an early example of an ice house ,a throwback to years gone by when local fishermen would store their catch here, preserved with ice cut from the river during the winter months. Being so close to the coast , Dooey beach is only a 15 min drive away and boasts miles of golden sand. The famous Glenveagh national park is also on our doorstep , with its castle and spectacular grounds , its a must see. Errigal, Donegals highest mountain and sliabh league are also a drive away. Along the route to Glenveagh you will see derelict famine cottages dotted along the landscape.
