a beautiful 3 bedroom apartment in the peaceful village of Doochary that is steeped in history and where time seems to stand still. right around the corner is a traditional country pub where the locals love to meet and chat with visitors to our lovely area. The building built in the 1800s , was ed as stables in the early 1900s and up until the 1970s was a clothing mill. In the 1990s there was a total renovation and this beautiful stone building was turned into 3 modern apartments

Where you’ll be

Doocharry, County Donegal, Ireland

the village where the apartment is located is a beautiful example of rural Ireland only 10 minutes from the wild Atlantic way. . there is a lovely little pub there with a friendly atmosphere where the locals are always willing to impart their knowledge of the area. go for a walk along the river trail and witness the beauty of the Gweebarra river which runs through the village , famed for its salmon fishing. You will see an early example of an ice house , a throwback to years gone by where local fishermen would store their catch , preserved with ice cut from the river at the time. being so close to the coast , Dooey beach is only a 15 min drive away and boasts miles of golden sand. The famous Glenveagh national park is also on our doorstep , with its castle and spectacular grounds a must see. Errigal, Donegals highest mountain and slieve league are also a drive away. Along the route to Glenveagh you will see famine cottages dotted along the landscape.
