You’ll have the best of both worlds in Williamswood, just 20 minutes from downtown Halifax in this cosy 3-bedroom, 1 bath bungalow. Although swimming is not possible on this shallow end of the lake, travel just 8 minutes down the road to the beautiful Crystal Crescent Beach for a dip. There is a small outbuilding "The Little Chalet" 50 feet from The Cottage which may have 1 guest.

8 minutes - Mishoo's Variety Store
Great stop before hitting the beach or when everywhere else is
closed. Mishoos is a unique store that carries grocery, take-out
food, beer, wine and spirits. Call for times.

10 minute - Crystal Crescent Beach and Provincial Park
Three white-sand crescent beaches with a boardwalks to the
first 2 beaches. Plenty of parking with a trailhead for a hike to
Pennant Point (10km) providing interesting birding and wildlife
viewing.

Heading North

3 minutes - Harrietsfield Convenience Store.
Just slip up the road for some last-minute snacks & supplies.

4 minutes - Baba's Pizzeria

10 minutes - Spryfield (major grocery stores, drug stores, hardware stores,
restaurants and amenities).

10 minutes - Long Lake Provincial Park - walking and biking trails, canoe and
kayak rentals.

18 minutes - Bayer’s Lake (multi screen theatre complex, restaurants, The
Putting Edge, go carting, and all the major big box stores). Great
close-by activities for a rainy day.

20 minutes - Downtown Halifax
