Located in the sought after south end of Wrightsville Beach, the cottage, built in 1947, is a good representation of old Wrightsville of yesteryear. The house sits amongst beautiful custom homes yet has a very laid back vibe on the south end just across the street from the beach. It is steps away from public beach access ‘41’ and a quick walk to the lazy beaches of Banks Channel. This unit has been completely renovated and is the perfect base camp for a memorable beach vacation.

The space
Welcome to The Prickly Pear Cottage, named after the native cactus that inhabits the beautiful barrier islands of this part of North Carolina and is easily visible at the beaches across the street. It is the ground level unit of a duplex cottage, and it is steps away from public beach access '40' & '41' and a quick walk to the inlet beaches of Banks Channel. In the other direction and easy walk lies the Oceanic Restaurant & Bar, Sundays Cafe/Bakery Shop, and South End Surf Shop. On many mornings and evenings, you can hear the sound of the ocean waves as you enjoy the beach breeze with a cup of coffee or a cocktail on the private side patio. This unit has been completely renovated with an open floor plan that contains an updated kitchen and dining area with all the basic cooking needs. After a long day at the beach or on the water, there is an outdoor shower, an updated bathroom with shower, and a cozy living room area and bedrooms to unwind. Rates are better than any hotel on the island plus you get the luxury of having separate bedrooms and your own spacious, well appointed kitchen, living room, and outdoor patio! No need to worry about parking as there is your own parking spot in the driveway. Park your car and you may not need to use it again for the rest of your trip.

On southern end of Wrightsville Beach, one row back from Ocean beaches and 2 blocks from Banks Channel, this area is a beachgoer or waterman's paradise. Cottage is located about a block and a half from southern tip of Wrightsville Beach, great for watching sunsets! About a few blocks north is Oceanic Restaurant Sundays Cafe, and South End Surf Shop.
