Two bedroom cottage with a private deck and Gulf Island views on 5 acres. Quiet natural setting in the woods. Close to Ganges Village and Fulford Harbour.

We encourage you to explore the property and the many varieties of fruit trees and roses. You'll find direct access to Peter Arnell park and the Bryant Hill connector trails. The cottage is a 15 min bike ride to Beddis Beach or a 15 minute drive to Ruckle Provincial Park.

The space
A short driveway through a birchwood forest brings you atop a hillside acreage. As you drive past the apple, plum and cherry trees, you'll arrive to your cottage with vast windows and a wrap around deck. Facing north towards the ocean with Galliano Island, this hilltop getaway is high enough to see the snowcapped North Shore mountains.

Inside your cozy two bedroom cottage, a wood burning fireplace and gorgeous dining table bookend the cathedral style windows. Here you'll feel like you're in the sky which is often dotted with fiery pinks and velvety purples. In the summer months, the sun will rise and fall directly in your view.

Books, curated magazines, and games are scattered throughout various nooks to keep you entertained.

An open kitchen is stocked with all the essentials you'll need. Wake up to freshly ground Salt Spring Island medium roast coffee in a french press or black ceylon tea.

With views of plum trees and giant rose bushes both bedrooms get beautiful morning light. At night, inky black skies welcome grey owls, your loudest neighbour.

As you walk about the acreage you'll meet our free range heritage chickens. A big shed keeps plenty of firewood for winter months. Further down the property, a half century year old douglas fir and much younger walnut and hazelnut trees surround a big open fire pit.

The property is nestled behind Peter Arnell park with direct access to two incredible trails. Dog and kid friendly, Peter Arnell is a 2km Loop through a slightly hilly terrain (60m elevation gains) speckled with hundreds of Arbutus trees.

For a more strenuous hike, the 2.7 KM Bryant Hill connector takes you through an 80 acre mature growth forest. Andreas Vogt nature reserve and Howard Horel Loop.

After you dive into nature, replenish with farm fresh stone baked sourdough bread. The Quarry Farm stand is a short walk to Jasper Road and is stocked on weekends after 10 AM.

Our home is nestled right up to Peter Arnell park with direct access onto the trail. This loop will take you through the forest to breathtaking ocean views towards Galliano and Active Pass. There is a connecting trail to Bryant Hill park--80 acres of mature forest with multiple view points including Mount Maxwell.

On the Island, you'll find 19 additional trails and dozens of swimming holes.
