The cabin is situated on An Ghrian Glas farm. The cabin is built from a mix of sustainable materials and recycled materials. It has a mezzanine loft for a bedroom, a wood burning stove for the cooler evenings and a bright airy kitchen space that looks out onto the farm and market garden. You can collect your eggs fresh from the hens that morning, pick some spinach and tomatoes from the garden and whip up breakfast in no time. Staying in the small home gives you access to the rest of the farm.

The space
It has an outdoor decking area that looks out over the farm and gets lovely evening light for spectacular sunset dinners.

Ballymore, County Westmeath, Ireland

Our farm is an ambassador farm for farming for nature. We put biodiversity and conservation at the core value of our farm. There will always be something to see and do on the farm at all seasons from trying your hand at willow weaving or making rope from willow bark, to collecting berries in summer and making some jam. Visit the animals onsite or bring your bikes and go for a cycle along some country roads. There are many lakes, forests and historic sites short drives away, which we would be happy to share our favourite with you. We are almost exactly in the centre of Ireland in fact Uisneach the ancient site called the bellybutton of Ireland is a ten minute drive. There are guided tours you can take up the hill to immerse yourself in Irelands ancient past. We are a perfect stop on your way between east and west. Also as we supply many of the best restaurants and cafes in the area we guide you to the best and tastiest food in the midlands. Or you can have a go and try cooking over our outdoor campfire with high quality vegetables picked fresh from the ground.
