Knox A-Frame is a cozy and modern expanded A-frame house with 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. A block from the beach (8 tags included). Completely updated July 2021 with plenty of room for a family or large group. Spacious, open floor plan downstairs, two large outdoor spaces (where you can hear the waves crashing and feel the cool ocean breeze), back yard and outdoor shower. Family-friendly, quiet... a true hidden gem. A short bike ride or Uber to downtown Cape May ;)

The space
Completely renovated for summer 2021... we designed this house to be your home away from home. Here's a bit more detail about what to expect. If you have questions, just ask!

Please note: We rent weekly (Saturday to Saturday) from Memorial Day through late September.

LAYOUT: The majority of the space is on the first floor, with the living room, dining area and large cook's kitchen in the A-frame section. Toward the back of the house is a wet bar, laundry, 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms (brand-new, one with a bathtub, and the other a shower). Along the side of the house, through the back kitchen door, is a screened-in porch. The 2nd floor is the A-frame main suite, with sitting room, the 3rd bathroom (also brand-new with double vanity and walk-in shower), and the 4th bedroom, with outside deck. See photos for floor plans.

DOWNSTAIRS: Open floor plan living space with vaulted A-frame ceiling, several large floor-to-ceiling windows, and lots of seating.

Kitchen & Dining:
• The kitchen is brand new, with all the things you'll need to whip up delicious meals (6-burner gas range and stove, microwave, coffee maker and grinder, toaster, blender, griddle, lobster pot, knives, mixing bowls, etc.)
• The island seats 3 and the dining area with built-in seating seats 6-8

Living Room & Bar:
• The main area has a sectional couch that seats 7 comfortably, coffee tables, side table
• The console cabinet under the TV is stored with games and puzzles for all ages
• Cable TV (Xfinity X1), Internet and free WiFi included
• Just past the living room is a wet bar, stocked with glassware and bar tools, bar sink and beverage fridge

3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms & Laundry:

• Bunk room has a bench with baskets filled with toys for smaller kids
• Pack-and-play for a baby or toddler
• Quilts, mattress pads and pillows are provided
• Guests must bring sheets and towels, and extra blankets/throws, or you can rent them from Linen Ladies (they also have cribs, strollers, highchairs and more)
• Washer and dryer are down the hall in a closet, stocked with detergent pods, iron and ironing board and vacuum

UPSTAIRS: The A-Frame main suite with plenty of room to spread out.

• 4th bedroom has a Queen bed, desk and chair, and smart TV
• Bathroom has a double vanity and walk-in shower
• The sitting area has a sleeper sofa, accent chair and side table – the perfect space for reading, napping or playing games/doing puzzles (which are included as well!)

OUTDOORS: One of our favorite things about this house is the beautiful outdoor spaces!

• 1st floor, Right Side Porch: This is screened-in and runs along the side of the house; there is a conversation area with 4 chairs, and a table and benches to dine al fresco, as well as a gas grill just outside the sliding door
• 1st floor, Left Side Yard: Past the entryway door, down the back steps, there is an outdoor shower (warm water), a line to to hang towels and bathing suits, and a deck box with beach chairs, beach cart, umbrella and beach toys
• 2nd floor, Back Porch: This little hidden oasis is on the backside of the A-Frame, with a sectional outdoor sofa and lounge chairs.

• Beach umbrella, beach cart and 6 beach chairs
• Sand toys

Where you’ll be

Cape May, New Jersey, United States

Cape May Point is at the very tip of southern New Jersey, surrounded by the ocean with nature sanctuaries and trails all around it. It’s a lovely place for a getaway at all times of year and the pace is perfect for families and all generations. It’s truly a unique and awe-inspiring place, filled with nature, birds, beautiful dunes and lovely people.

Primarily residential off-season, there are a handful of “places” to visit, which keeps things pretty quiet :) There’s a Lighthouse (which you can climb) and small local museum next door, bird observatory, Post Office, and Fire Station. You can also take a 5-minute walk down to Sunset Beach for miniature golf, shops, and a bite or ice cream oceanside at The Grill.

It’s a few minutes’ drive to Cape May by car (or Uber) or a lovely 20-minute bike ride down Sunset Blvd. Cape May proper has tons of restaurants and shops, miniature golf, arcades, bike and surrey rentals, a public library,
museums, trolley tours, food tours, theaters, fishing and whale watching trips and more.

Also reachable by car nearby, there are farm stands for fresh produce, Beach Plum farm (which has a restaurant, gift shop, nature trails and
chickens/pigs for the kids to feed), breweries, wineries and distilleries, the Cape May Wetlands (great for birding, running, nature walks), the Cape May Zoo, Cape May National Golf Club, playhouses, movie theaters, and Historic Cold Spring Village, to name a few.

I'm passionate about design and photography, meeting new people and enjoying life. A strong latte, cute (and comfy) shoes, a camera in hand - and my husband and our girls by my side - make me happiest.

My perfect trip includes discovering new and off-the-beaten path places, getting to know the locals, aimless wandering, delicious eats, and a great night's sleep...
