The Lake House is in an excellent location. There is a boat launch just around the corner and a boat rental shop around the bay. There are 2 grocery stores within 5k's. Anglemont Golf course is 10 k's to the east along with a marina and pizza place. Scotch Creek , 10 k's to the west has several great food choices.....An excellent food truck, breakfast cafe, great little coffee shop next to the library to mention a few. The Hub Family restaurant has music venues on weekends and also great food and ice cream. There are 2 farmers markets each week in the summer. Scotch Creek is held on Sundays and the famous Celista market is held on Wednesdays at the hall. Quaaout Lodge, offering fine dining and Talking Rock Golf course are 30 k's to the west on Little Shuswap lake. There is a binder at the cabin with maps of walking/biking/hiking trails plus historical sites to see.
Lorna's Lakehouse is a twenty-five minute drive to the world-class spectacle; the Adams River Salmon run in Tsutwecw ("choo-chwek") Provincial Park. Autumn of 2022 is a peak year. Adams River is home to the world's largest return of Sockeye Salmon to a single river. People come from all over the planet to to witness the final stages of this heroic journey. It really shouldn't be missed.
