The space
Our recently built home is peaceful, comfortable, and light-filled... with stunning views! it is a couple short blocks off the main street in to town, in a very quiet neighborhood. When you walk in the front door, you will see a modern and inviting kitchen with bar, which flows in to the dining room and living area... with large floor to ceiling windows and triple-slider facing the incredible mountain views. We recommend drinking your coffee from one of 2 huge bean bag chairs either right in front of the huge window, or on the large deck, as you watch the sunset/sunrise. The deck and yard are great spaces for relaxing and enjoying the peace and quite. The kitchen has a microwave, espresso machine, full refrigerator, and is stocked with basic spices/coffee/tea. There is firewood available for the wood stove and a laundry area available for your use. The master bedroom has a comfortable king size bed, and bathroom with a large tub and shower. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and there is an additional bathroom at the end of the hall with a shower. There is a smart tv and WiFi access, as well as games and cards for your enjoyment.

Glenorchy is a great base to explore the Mt Aspiring National Park and enjoy all the incredible natural beauty of the area. After a breathtakingly beautiful 45 minute drive from Queenstown, you find yourself in a quiet peaceful paradise... surrounded by mountains, long white clouds, rivers, and the kindest people you will ever meet. You will find a wonderful General Store (which also has a food truck with specials a few days a week in season), three cafes, two pubs, a couple of souvenir shops and a petrol station within the township. There are many available fun activities in Glenorchy...tramping (hiking), horseback riding, kayaking, jet boating, fishing, ziplining, and scenic helicopter trips. The main town centre is a 10 minute walk from the house, and the general store (with coffee/ice cream/souvenirs/food) is only 5 min away.
