Kilcoobin cottage is set within an area of outstanding natural beauty and a world heritage site, yet also nestled undiscovered and off the beaten track. A sea view....in the countryside. The ideal spot to relax and get away from it all while staring out across the sea to the skerries, or to set off and explore the surrounding coast and countryside. We hope you manage a bit of both during your stay. 1 mile to the Giants Causeway and a great base to explore the wider Causeway Coast area.

The space
The original cottage dates back to the 1840's when it was built as one of a row of ploughman's cottages for the estate opposite. You can see evidence of the thick walls of the one roomed dwelling in the living room and the original pig house in the yard. The cottage has been gradually extended over the years and thankfully is much more spacious today!
Kilcoobin cottage today has a large country style kitchen with modern high bar area, open plan to family living and dining area with log burner and lovely sea views. Next to this, another cosy living space with smart/BT TV and another log burner. Upstairs the family bathroom containing roll top bath and separate shower, and 3 bedrooms. 1 bedroom with king size bed and ensuite bathroom, 1 bedroom with king size bed, and the 3rd bedroom with 2 x single beds (which will also push together for a double). All the bedrooms, in fact all rooms in the house except the bathrooms, enjoy expansive sea views.

Outside to the back of the property, the 19th century pig house has been converted into a separate bright workspace retreat with Wi-Fi. Perfect for catching up on some work or study, or just a peaceful creative space away from the house.

The main garden to the front of the property stares out across the surrounding country side to the sea with the skerries and hills of Donegal in the distance.
