Where you’ll be

Charlottesville, Virginia, United States

On the edge of UVa, our house is on a quaint tree-lined street with historic homes built in the 1920s and 1930s. Students live nearby, but our immediate neighbors are all single-family homes. It is common to see students and families walking and strolling on our street. While usually quiet, we are close enough to the University to sometimes hear the student celebrations on weekend evenings.

Lise and I are excited to offer the beauty and convenience of our historic home to guests coming to Charlottesville.

This has been our home for almost 26 years and we welcome you into it. We want to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. If there is something you need, please ask. If there is one thing that would make your stay especially wonderful, let us know. We will strive to make it happen if it is feasible for us.

As a traveler, when I am looking for a place to stay, I like simplicity, beauty, ease, and relative quiet. Typically need wifi access, a comfortable bed, and a spot to prepare simple meals. I am a quiet guest and usually travel with a high level of spontaneity and autonomy in terms of activities. I eat healthy, though always like to try local foods.
