Quaint, old, rustic villa located in a peaceful, secure gated community right on beautiful Bofa beach in Kilifi with unobstructed views of the Indian ocean. The villa is surrounded by beautiful baobab trees and shares a large saltwater pool and a large gazebo that's perfect for sunrise yoga sessions. There is a private, shaded verandah and a few meters from the house are steps leading down to the white, sandy Bofa beach.

The space
Mama Tancredi's Makaazi sits at the very front of the property, closest to the beach and receives a cool breeze from the sea that makes for a very relaxing space. There are three bedrooms, all with ceiling fans. The master bedroom is upstairs with a queen bed and each downstairs bedroom has two double beds. It is walking distance to the new hot spot, Salty's beach bar, as well as Bofa Beach Club, both great for sundowners. The house is self-catering, though a house help can be arranged to clean and cook from 8-5 pm, 6 days a week.

Where you’ll be

Kilifi, Kilifi County, Kenya

Mama Tancredi's Makaazi is located in a quiet, residential stretch of Bofa Beach. There are several shops and stalls along Bofa road, including a new Express shop selling basic household items, fruits and veggies as well as wines and spirits. A short boda-boda or tuk-tuk ride will take you into town where you can shop in the local market or at the supermarket, Tuskys. Cabs are available as well. There are plenty of things to do around Kilifi, the best being a sunset dhow cruise on the Kilifi Creek.
