Great little house in small working village near Coimbra ( 25'away).
Between Lousa(8 K) and Miranda da Corvo (14k). Quiet and peaceful, with views over fields.
Fully equipped for Summer, April to September. BBC Channels , Dutch, French and German channels plus a few others.....about 400 of them!
There is NO Portuguese TV Chanel's
Electric wall mounted radiators and a log burning fire.

The space
One double bedroom .
Can provide a cot at no extra cost.
Fully equipped kitchen and washing machine in the bathroom.

They have access to the garden , the outside dining area, and the fields of course!

Usually I help with what is to do or see in the area but otherwise I give them total privacy. A car is essential, there are no shops in the village.

I love the working village atmosphere , little to no traffic .
This is a one-street village. The views are of fields .
Bird sounds and some time the odd wild boar and constant sound of running water!
I am fluent in Portuguese French and English and love the contact with the locals.

10" walk to the nearest bus stop to Coimbra.
No shops in the village but Lousa is 8k from here.
Banks , pharmacies ,supermarkets like Lidl .Intermarche and Continente and plenty of café in town and cheap places to eat too.

There are plenty of open air swimming pools in Semide and in Lousa. If you are mobile I.e with a bike or car there are loads of river beaches nearby-ish.
The serra behind hides lovely slate villages but for access you need a car or good legs!
Coimbra was the first capital of Portugal and is well worth a visit! 25’ away.

PS I have just been told that the church bells from neighboring villages are a challenge for light sleepers.
To avoid disappointments, I now warn future guests of THE BELLS...!
Will try to ask the village in question to lower the sound...wonder how I will get on!
It also much depends on the wind direction...I have very little power over that!
Thanks for your comprehension.

French speaking Belgian. Lived 35 years in the UK. Grew up in Brazil so I am fluent in Portuguese. Well traveled, with family all over the world. Backpacked around the world for a year in 2003. Live with my three dogs and a cat who thinks is a dog. Another small dog welcome but no cats. The property is 4000 square meters and I am always busy somehow, somewhere! By the way there is also a sofa bed that could accommodate a third person or another couple. A cot can also be provided free of charge. I get on very well with everybody and am very helpful. Would love to meet new interesting guests and I have had many in the past few years. Have also been on "Owner's Direct " and "Trip Advisor" Contact me if you require more information. Till then!
