Our Lyttel Whare (house) is a brand new, architecturally designed tiny home, thoughtfully located and decorated to maximise stunning harbour and hill views and to reflect our funky Lyttelton vibe. With access to a range of local walks, markets, eateries and activities, a break away will leave you feeling enriched and indulged with great memories to take with you. We aim to provide as much information and comfort as you need to have a great experience.

The space
The Whare is fully self-contained with independent access down a flight of pebbled steps (those with limited mobility may find the path difficult). It includes brand new appliances and is well positioned to make the most of the sun and expansive views that a west-side Lyttelton property has to offer.

You will enjoy an orchard setting, morning bird-song and the hum of a working port will lull you to sleep. We are located on a private right-of-way with parking just above where you will be staying.

During your stay

We live in the house above, are available to respond to your needs without wanting to get in your way, and happy to give advice on local attractions, and activities including places to drink locally roasted coffee and brewed beer, listen to music, go for coastal or hill walks or bike-rides. Or you can just sit and watch the boats come in and out. Check out the LPC website for info on coming & goings in the port!
