This cabin, one of nine in this small community retreat, is 100 yards from the lakefront with a private dock. The cabin has two bedrooms - 1 double bed and 2 twins. (The cabin will be entirely yours, the pool and lake areas are shared with the guests of the other cabins. YOU WILL HAVE NEIGHBORS CLOSE BY.

Full kitchen with stove/oven, coffee pot, toaster, and seating for 4, plus 2 armchairs. Kitchen has recently been updated with "tiny house" under-counter fridge/freezer, butcher-block countertop, and new sink and faucet. All new bathroom fixtures this year!

Provided: tableware, pots and pans, and all the basic tools you'd need to make a great meal. Also coffee, creamer, sugar, some spices, olive oil, vinegar.

We now have wi-fi and pretty good cell service!

Our cabin is 3 season, UNHEATED. We close up in the fall and re-open in mid- May. Vermont weather in early spring/fall can be fickle. Meaning it's cold! We bring extra blankets! :-) During hot weather, there are 3 table fans provided for air circulation.

This cabin has lake access to the 3-mile, beautiful Lake Dunmore. Nestled on the edge of the Green Mountain National Forest, down the road is the Branbury State Park. Copious hiking trails! Also, the cabin is just a few minutes from the lovely village of Brandon, the town of Middlebury, VT and a pleasant hour drive to Burlington, VT.

Parking is on the far side of the pool near the caretaker’s white house. You may pull up your car to the cabin to unload, then please move your car to the parking area.

The closest laundromat currently is on Exchange St in Middlebury.

We are LGBTQIA friendly. We do NOT discriminate against anyone- we welcome all races, ethnicities, gender identities, you name it. If you're kind, you can stay here.

Where you’ll be

Leicester, Vermont, United States

The closest convenience stores:

Country Store and Deli, 1457 Lake Dunmore Rd, Salisbury, VT 05769

Kampersville Store, 1457 Lake Dunmore Rd, Goshen, VT 05733

There is also a Hannaford supermarket in downtown Brandon.

A few good spots to eat:

In Brandon:

Cafe Provence- our favorite

Mae’s Place- Main St. We like it. Sit outside! Casual and friendly

And Brandon House of Pizza is good

There's a restaurant and soft-serve place at the North end of the Lake that's decent, nothing fancy. That's the closest eatery to the cabin. They have more flavors of soft serve than I've ever seen. Closed after Labor Day.

It's not Manhattan! :-)

You can also venture down to Middlebury. 20 minute drive. My favorite place in the world.

Brandon has TWO AMAZING BREWERIES, with a third on the way. Foley Brothers and Red Clover- 2 blocks apart, and one has tacos. :)

Restaurants in Middlebury:
Rosie's Diner
2 Brothers Tavern
Mr. Up's
Otter Creek Brewing- great beer, and they have a pub/restaurant
The Marbleworks - a conglomeration of stores, etc. Every place to eat in here is good, and it's a nice to walk around and see the waterfalls.
