A bright 1 bedroom apartment overlooking the Old College's Dome. The very central and unique location means most sights are within walking distance. A stone's throw away from the Festival Theatre, National Museum. The Castle, Royal Mile and Grassmarket are nearby. Great coffee place below and a friendly local bar. 4th floor. No lift. If you have heavy luggage be aware of this.
I'm usually always around to meet people and let them in myself.

The space
Built in the 1790s the tall classical tenements of the street were completed when the South Bridge was built as a link between the Old Town and the developing southern part of the city. Robbie Burns would have been striding the streets at the time and William McGonagall, the poet, lived and died on the street.
The apartment is on the 4th floor. An old turnpike stair leads the way up.

The Lounge overlooks the Dome of the Old College and if you lean out the window you can see down the street to the Firth of Forth in the distance. A bright comfortable room with a sofa bed that can accommodate 2 further guests. A fold out table can be used for dining and there is a TV with built in freeview/DVD player. Free wifi.

The Bedroom is set to the rear of the building and is nice and peaceful with a comfortable double bed. Space to hang clothes, chest of drawers and a hair dryer is supplied.
An ironing board and iron can be found in a hall cupboard.

The Kitchen has all you might need if you choose to eat in. Cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster and dishwasher. Essentials like oil, salt, pepper, coffee and tea are provided.

Bathroom. A lovely space with bath and electric shower over and large mirror. Towels, shower gel, shampoo and toilet paper are provided.

Location

Edinburgh, United Kingdom

The Royal Mile, Grassmarket, Castle and much more are a pleasant stroll away with Princes Street being a 10 minute walk. Most of the Edinburgh Festival venues are nearby - Festival Theatre, Pleasance, George Square, Udderbelly etc. The area is surrounded by many restaurants, cafes, bars and shops to enjoy. There is also a choice of several supermarkets nearby. Live music can be found down the street in The Captain's Bar - a small traditional bar with live Scottish folk music most nights. Live Jazz is on until late round the corner in the Jazz Bar on Chambers Street. Just up the road on Nicolson Street you can find many charity/thrift shops where you can pick up a bargain or two!
