Stay in the former eighteenth-century summer house of the Building on Ridderhofstad Gunterstein estate on the Vecht in Breukelen.

The summer cottage is on the property of a small-scale organic dairy farm, a farm with 70 hectares of land adjacent to the Loosdrecht lakes, where our cows, mostly primeval Dutch blackheads, graze in a centuries-old park-like cultural landscape.

The space
The summer cottage has a private entrance and fully self-catering, kitchen with fridge, gas stove and dining/work table and the possibility to make coffee and tea. Wi-Fi is available.

On the ground floor, a bright, atmospheric bedroom with a lovely double bed and adjoining bathroom with walk-in shower, sink and toilet.

The first floor is a nice place to relax, watch TV & Netflix on the lounge bench or crawl into a lazy chair read a good book overlooking Gunterstein Castle.

The summer cottage is ideally suited for both leisure and business guests also for longer periods.

Where you’ll be

Breukelen, Utrecht, Netherlands

The Vechtstreek owes its name to the winding river Vecht with 17th and 18th century outdoor spaces on both banks. In the heart of the region lies the village of Breukelen, with an abundance of culture, history, scenic cleanliness and recreational opportunities in the area.

From the yard is wonderful walking through the park of Ridderhofstad Gunterstein. The village of Breukelen with a variety of shops, supermarket, cozy restaurants and terraces is within walking distance (800 meters).

The farm has a food shop with organic products from the farm and a flower garden in the summer months.

Feel free to take a look at stalls, cows and calves or while milking.
