Our nature trail provides all of the splendor of the Hill Country. Elkhart Lodge is a beautiful property located at the end of a cove. The private pool and hot tub overlook the fountain in the cove.
Whether lounging by the pool, relaxing in the hot tub, fishing in the cove or making s'mores in the firepit down by the water you're sure to find the perfect spot for whatever suits your fancy. The charcoal barbecue grill is situated in the pool area just outside the patio doors leading to the master bedroom. Around the house sits a children's playscape with swings and a slide. Test your skills at the horseshoe pits or washer boards before you hop onto the Sarayu Trail and enjoy a walk through Log Country Cove. This nature walk gives you glimpses of wildlife, breath-taking scenes when wildflowers are in full bloom and a chance to cross a babbling brook when running. While exploring Log Country Cove be sure to check out the common area. This area for all guests is found between the office and Lake LBJ. Fun in the sun is enjoyed by all whether lounging in the outdoor furniture, swimming in the lake, playing sand volleyball or jumping off the rope swing. A water trampoline will be in the lake between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day. Before the adventure ends and you head back to the cabin stroll over to the Sunset Pier. The Hill Country sun setting over the water is something you don't want to miss.
The cabin offers 4 bedrooms each having a king bed. The master bedroom with private bath opens up to the pool area inviting you to a romantic swim in the lighted pool. The bath includes a walk-in shower. Across the great room is the second downstairs bedroom and a full bath down the hall. For your convenience there's a small laundry room just off the kitchen. Laundry supplies are not provided.
The massive windows in the great room let you take in the awesome views of this special property. DirectTV and wireless internet are provided. A propane fireplace in the living area is the perfect place to take the chill off a cool winter evening or a brisk autumn morning.
A foosball table and TV are in the loft for your entertainment. The bedroom with a king bed and 2 double futons has huge windows giving yet another perspective of the splendor of Elkhart Lodge property.The second bedroom has a king bed and is right across the hall from the full bath. The views from this bedroom are spectacular during any season.
You will want to bring bring filters and coffee for use with Mr. Coffee and/or Keurig coffee makers. You will love the gourmet kitchen. Be sure to bring all condiments, food and consumable items.
