The cottage is just a 3 minute walk away from Windermere Estates, a departmental store is a mere 7 minute walk away, NEIGHRIMS hospital is a 8 minute drive away and an equal distance of 8 minutes to the BSF(Border Security Force) headquarters, NIFT and IIM Shillong are right around the corner and in and around the area are cozy traditional stalls wherein Khasi delicacies are served, you can reach the main city area with a drive of less than half an hour.
