This is a welcoming home in a quiet cul-de-sac off the vibrant Cliffe High street, 2 minutes walk from the beautiful South Downs. A second, larger, double room is available "Large Sunny Room with Cliffe View". Also the whole house "Charming Victorian Terraced House", sleeps 6 can be rented. Free Parking available and continental breakfast provided.

The space
The double room includes a very comfortable small double bed, desk with mirror, chest of drawers and hanging space. It overlooks some beautiful, scented, pink roses. There is another larger double room available on Airbnb, "Large Sunny Room with Cliffe View", see other listing. Normally during the Summer months there is a two night minimum stay at weekends. The beds are very comfortable and I only use 100% cotton sheets. There is a shared bathroom with a bath/shower/sink and a separate loo and sink. Just shared between the two rooms ( though often, especialy in water months only on of the rooms are booked.) So far no problems with sharing!
There is also an attic room with ensuite listed as Castle View (just!) a green sanctuary.

Where you’ll be

Lewes, East Sussex, United Kingdom

Lewes is a beautiful historic town with lots of character. I love the fact that it is small enough to walk around and from every corner you have amazing views of the south downs, the castle and the river and access to a huge variety of walks - hilly or flat. I have the advantage of living in a quiet street while at the same time being one minutes walk from a variety of restaurants, friendly traditional pubs, independent shops, cafes - and the original Bills. Harvey's brewery is also in the next street and you can walk across the downs to Glyndebourne Opera house. On a hot day you can nip down to Seaford for a swim in the sea or have one in Lewes's own outdoor pool, the oldest outdoor freshwater swimming pool in England. There is a large and eclectic musical and artistic scene and there is also a very good new three screened cinema built in the old Brewery, the depot, incorporating a café and comfortable seating areas, only 5 minutes walk away.
