Welcome to our beautiful log cabin retreat nestled in the Rocky mountains on the edge of Yoho National Park. Enjoy the mountain views from the sunny deck while enjoying nature and family or friends time. Perfectly situated within easy reach of 4 national parks and 45 minutes from both Lake Louise and Kicking Horse ski resort this authentic cabin is ideal for adventures in the mountains in all seasons.

The space
This 1200 sq ft log cabin is part of a 20 cabin site just 25 minutes away from Golden and Field in beautiful British Columbia. It has a double height living area with a large gas stone fireplace and well equipped kitchen including a dishwasher. There is a double bedroom on the main floor with a full bathroom next door. Upstairs there is a large loft space with beautiful views of Chancellor Peak through the A-frame. There is a further queen and 2 single beds on this level with a half bathroom and a large soaker tub. Our children have designed a kids corner under the stairs full of books, games and a hideaway space to keep the children happy! Outside we have a large deck with BBQ, outdoor tables and a private firepit to roast marshmallows while admiring the stars! There is also plenty of green space to play games and we are a short walk to Kicking Horse river with pebble beaches for stone skimming or paddling.

We love our family adventures in the Rockies and hope you will too! For the ski powder buffs we are exactly 45 minutes from the world class Lake Louise and Kicking Horse ski resorts. Choose your resort based on the snow reports! We have fabulous cross country skiing at Emerald Lake, Lake Louise and Dawn Mountain Nordic centre at Kicking Horse as well as an abundance of snow shoeing trails. Enjoy nearby snow mobile or dog sledding tours.
In the summer enjoy a hikers paradise in Yoho, Lake Louise, Glacier and Kootenay National parks as well as further afield Revelstoke and Jasper. Experience adventures in rafting, paddle boarding, mountain biking, family biking, horseback riding, golfing and sky diving to name but a few. Once the adventures are done the cabin is a peaceful retreat to watch the birds and read a book and relax with nature.

We have 3 children aged 13, 11 and 9 and love adventuring year round anywhere in the mountains. We are originally from the UK and moved to Calgary in 2015. We miss Scotland so are delighted to have a mountain retreat that is named after our adventures back in the UK but situated in the majestic Rockies. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
