CITY PEARL is located just 1 minute walk from El Square. Venizelos ( the famous Lions Square) with Morozini Fountain which is considered one of the most beautiful Venetian monuments of Heraklion , the Basilica of St. Mark built by the Venetians and hosts the Municipal Art Gallery of the Municipality and the Venetian Loggia where the Town Hall of the city is housed. Immediately below you will find the beautiful church of Agios Titos, which was declared a cathedral of the Archdiocese of Crete . Moving on to August 25th you will reach the old Venetian port where you can admire the Venetian Fortress (Koule) .The distance to the Archaeological Museum from the accommodation is approximately 5 min walk. The metropolitan church of Agios Minas is 1 minute away and the bus stop for the Archaeological site of Knossos is about 2 minutes away. The bus journey takes 20 minutes ( 5 km ). The Venetian walls with the tomb of Nikos Kazantzakis are approximately a 9-minute walk away.
