Where you’ll be

Racó, Tucumán, Argentina

Raco is 55 kilometers northwest of San Miguel de Tucumán and 1100 meters high. Although for decades it was the preferred break for Tucuman families seeking to escape the intense heat of the city, today Raco, together with the neighboring town of El Siambón, is visited by thousands of tourists attracted by its rugged landscape and the possibility of activities such as golf, mountain biking, or adventure races. An ideal area for long walks breathing in its pure air; guided horseback rides that allow you to discover the heart of the area; or simply walk some trails that lead to cool streams surrounded by watercress and mint, under the lush shade of a grove.
The area has some restaurants and warehouses, near the Siambon there is a golf course, and horse rental.
By car you can get to know the Benedictine Monastery (1955) with stones and wood from the area. Monks are known for their candy production. San Javier, Villa Nougués are nearby places to visit.
Ideal for those who share the passion and adventure of the Transmonta, a competition of great convocation in MTB as in Enduro.

San Miguel de Tucuman is my place of residence, and the family retreat, the house in Raco that allows us to disconnect from the routine, time to read, enjoy good movies, cook and guitar and long talks.
Architect by trade, with strong footprint in museums and heritage, I enjoy walking trails, mountain air, ancient cultures, music from my land.
Traveling, exploring.
