Sirius Escape is a luxurious villa in the peaceful Bay of Hurepiti on the vanilla island of Taha’a.
This imposing and eco-friendly, wooden property stands on a tropical lawn, facing west.
The guests can enjoy early morning swims or breathtaking sunsets over the Pacific Ocean from a thatched pontoon.

The space

Where you’ll be

Taha'a, Leeward Islands, French Polynesia

Other than the Pacific Ocean, guests are also able to explore the island of Taha’a, which is an unspoiled botanical beauty spot, complete with an array of motus, coral gardens and a turquoise lagoon for keen snorkelers and divers. What better starting point than from the location of Sirius Escape in Baie of Hurepiti, where not just Captain Cook left his mark in history, but where also the French painter Octave Morillot used to live from 1905 until 1914.
Multiple hiking trails wind through vanilla plantations among the ascending slopes and valleys, but one may prefer to take the bicycle instead to explore small, local villages or try your hand at floristry with the local, tropical flowers.
Taha’a is uncluttered by large Polynesian hotels and water-bungalows, with only a few restaurants, a local pharmacy and some small supermarkets. The island is authentic and life passes by in a very calm way, until the weekend, when the local people enjoy their passion for music and dance.
Taha'a also has some of the best pearl farms in French Polynesia and the staff are happy to show visitors around most days. A few years ago a rum factory was opened on Taha'a, which has now international acclaim.
On neighbouring island Raiatea, one should not miss a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Marea Taputapuatea.
