The newly built house is perfect for vacationing couples, solo adventurers, or surfer enthusiasts looking for a piece of tropical paradise with year-round waves.

The space
La Casita is only a 2-minute walk from the beach and a 5-minute walk from the world renowned Sunzal Surf Break - one of El Salvador’s best and most consistent right hand breaks which can be enjoyed by seasoned and new surfers alike.

The new property is a two-story house on a ¼ acre of land. The ground floor is an open living space with a comfy queen size bed, a fully-equipped kitchen, a stylish bathroom, a bar area, and a wrap around stone terrace. The large sliding doors, ceiling fans, and A/C keep the place cool and comfortable. The décor is simple and charming with textiles and furniture from Guatemala, Ghana, and El Salvador.

The upper level of the house is completely open and roofed. There are hammocks, lounge chairs, and a large sofa to chill and relax amidst a lush tropical canopy. There is also a charcoal BBQ and a dining area to enjoy, and plenty of room to practice yoga, exercise, or just relax. The property has several mango, banana, and lime trees that are available for the picking. There is also an shower out back that is great for rinsing off after an ocean swim or surf.

The house is located in La Isla, Sunzal (not an actual island), which is a safe and friendly neighborhood nestled between the popular beach town of El Tunco and the black sand beach of Sunzal.

In addition to its proximity to the popular Sunzal surf break, there are two other surf spots, La Bocana and Bocanita, which are within walking distance. Further along the coast, surf breaks at El Zonte, Punta Roca, and at KM59, can be accessed via a $0.25 bus ride or by car - all within 15 minutes. There are plenty of options nearby to rent boards or take surf lessons.

The neighbourhood has local tiendas, papusarias, and other restaurants, although the nearest supermarket is in La Libertad. If you plan on cooking at home, it is best to stock up in La Libertad, although local fruit and vegetable trucks pass by the house daily.

The house is close to El Tunco, a popular beach town with plenty of nice restaurants, bars, cafes, and local shops and vendors.

Unlike the bustling town of El Tunco, La Isla Sunzal is typically a tranquil and quiet community with a mix of local and expat residences. However, like many neighborhoods in El Salvador, it can get more lively during the holidays.
