Welcome to The Sows Ear @ Rahui 🐷. 45 mins east of Masterton. A renovated cottage in the beautiful established Rahui gardens 🌸 You cant get much more rural than this. No phones, no wifi , just good old fashioned being 'present', hanging out with Mother Nature, listening to the birds, and enjoying the company you are with. Rahui has 3 houses on it, the farm manager in the top house and we are in the front house. You may see us walking about, or quad bikes. Rent the ebikes for a ride to the coast.

The space
You need to bring your own food, linen and towels. Bring Nespresso pods if want to use the machine and 1ltr of cream to beat in the butter beater.
How about ordering Hello Fresh/ My Food Bag for your trip?

Where you’ll be

Tinui Valley, Wellington, New Zealand

With the choice of two hearty country pubs you have options for dinner, 25 mins to Castlepoint, 15mins to Tinui.
Castlepoint is the most spectacular beach with a lighthouse and huge reef and rocks. A number of great walks. A safe lagoon for swimming and several breaks for the surfers 🏄🏼‍♀️. The great little shop sells pretty much everything and signature fish and chips. Cool little 9 hole Golf course 🏌️‍♂️,
Tinui Craft corner sells lovely local crafts, The Waypost cafe for teas and eats, Tinui pub for beers and pub food 🍺 . The Tinui Anzac walk is a fantastic climb to the top of Mt Maunsell- 2 hours up. Visit Rewarewa station for spun wool.

Born and bred at Rahui, I travelled the world and am now back home. I Love having people to stay and making memories for people with my new ebike business of the Rahui Coastal Loop. Bring on the adventures!

During your stay

Come say hi and let me know you have arrived. I can offer heaps of history and I run an ebike business from Rahui to Castlepoint for a fun day out 🚴🏻‍♀️. I can light the bonfire for you 🔥
