Overlooking our brand new outdoor dining area at our family-run boatyard and campsite, this fun, quirky, land-locked boat is the perfect little UK getaway for 2021!
It's easy to explore the historic, cobbled streets and snickleway's of York as it's just a 5-10 minute drive to the city centre.
Our new wood fired pizza oven and eating area right beside the boat will be serving from roughly May 1st 2021.
There is an onsite toilet and shower block for guest use.
Please read on for more info!

The space
(PLEASE NOTE; our campsite is right at the bottom of Ferry Lane at York Marine Services. Postcode: YO23 2SB. Please use this postcode and not the one the Satnav will take you to (just up the road). We are a campsite/boatyard, NOT a house on Ferry Lane. Thank you!!) :)

The boat comes ready for you to hop straight into bed after a long day! Sheets, towels, cereal, milk, tea and coffee included, as well as full use of all campsite amenities, picnic area and boat rental. The raised decking surrounding the boat can be a lovely spot for your morning cup of tea, weather permitting!

Free parking in front of the boat.

TOILET/SHOWER BLOCK IS A 20 SECOND WALK AWAY.

Please also note that the bed is an unconventional shape as pictured, as it lies in the bow (front) of the boat. Bed dimensions : length 1m97 (6’5” feet) x width 1m40 (4’5” feet) at widest points. Please note mattress tapers at the foot end, taking the form of the bow of the boat.
(We have slept in bed and find it very comfortable. No problems with our height. Eva: 5'7" Jay: 6'2")

Our brand new, stone, wood fired pizza oven has just been built and we're very excited about it! As well as, the new seating area in front of the boat. (Please take a look at our photos). Due to open around May 2021.
Please be aware that some of the dining table's are close to the decking of the boat. During a hot summers day if you're sat out on your decking, the garden might be full and noisy. We're looking to have guests that will embrace this and have a chat to locals, regulars and other people on their holidays!
Our fabulous, huge, octagonal on-site restaurant is due to open in summer 2021 (covid depending). We will be focusing on fresh, organic ingredients with a frequently changing seasonal menu.

Please leave the boat clean and tidy when you leave.

No smoking in the boat

Where you’ll be

Bishopthorpe, England, United Kingdom

Bishopthorpe is a lovely village just on the outskirts of the city. (5-10minute drive into the centre of York). There's a library, fish 'n' chips, a few pubs, cafes, post office, pharmacy, a couple of shops, Archbishop of York's Palace, hairdressers, sports pavilion, church and bike shop.
Fabulous riverside walks all around.
It's lovely to walk up to Naburn along the river and stop off at The Ship Inn. (Tasty Sunday Dinners) Roughly 35/45 mins there.
You can also walk right into York Centre along the roads or by the scenic river route. (Foot path around 50-65 mins. River 1 hr 20/35mins. Wear wellies if it's rainy!)
