Great location
95% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
On this private 1200 acre secluded and remote valley in the Arbuckle Mountains is my home, a family-built log cabin nestled among the hills.
A creek is 150 feet from the cabin. It can be heard from the deck most of the year. The hot tub is next to the creek.
We have a trail through the woods up a hill to a valley overlook.
This is a perfect retreat for nature lovers, not partiers.

Turner Falls is 9 mi.
Private canoe, kayak, swim and fish experiences available

The space
Take note: when we built our cabin, we also built a storage shed to hold the logs as we built. This has been converted to a small cottage which is very near the cabin. If not booked the cottage is available if you want more space or just privacy. If you desire the cottage just to have the premises to yourselves, it will be half price if it is not used. You can see it, as well as my hut down the road (where I live when in town), by clicking on my profile picture.

The hot tub holds eight people easily and is right next to the creek. It is for cabin guests only While soaking in the tub you can listen to the creek and, on a clear night, enjoy the stars.

Roast hotdogs or s'mores on the campfire or just enjoy the embers.
In the summer you can splash around or walk in the creek. We have a mountain you can hike. Frisbee golf, croquet and cornhole are availabe. A large field is perfect for baseball, tag football, etc.

My kitchen is completely stocked with drip coffee maker, bean grinder, french press, electric kettle, coffee, utensils, pots, pans, etc. Also I have a nutribullet. My condiments available are mustard, mayo, ketchup, butter and jelly. Some common spices you are welcome to use.

Grilling utensils are available for the charcoal and gas grills. I have charcoal.

You need to know that due to my remote location you will not have good phone service. Depending on your carrier, there may be no service at all unless you walk up the road about 500 feet or stand at the top of the hut stairs down the road. You may also experience water problems. This is a rare thing but the pumps do break occasionally. I will always have bottled drinking water and out door hot tub water and containers to haul water for toilets and sinks. We call glamping, glamorous camping.
