This seasonal treehouse (May-15 -Sept 30) located near the mighty Quesnel river, Shaky Knees Tree House sits 7 metres high among Western red cedar and Douglas fir trees. The spacious wrap around deck looks out on a mixed evergreen and deciduous forest with a daisy meadow at its feet. A relaxing gurgle can be heard as Youngren creek ambles down the hill beside the tree house. This very private area includes a pond with a small waterfall. Shaky Knees is an eco-friendly, unplugged experience.

The space
Shaky Knees is easily accessible with its own private driveway and well-lit, level entrance. The tree house has a large, yoga friendly, wrap around deck with chairs and hammock for relaxing. An open kitchen and sitting area are on the main floor with a queen sized bed in the loft above. A full bathroom with on-demand hot water and composting toilet is also on the main floor.

The kitchen has everything you need to turn your day's catch into a delicious meal. A hot air popper and popcorn are always on hand.
There are some basic spices, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and condiments.....and a few extras in case you forgot something!!!

Gold pans and shovels are yours to use as you explore the historic Gold Rush area.

During your stay

Howard and Elaine retired from the Okanagan and moved to Likely, looking for a place to call home. They love the interior rain forest and everything it has to offer. They are both avid antique collectors and this is evident around their property and in the tree house.

Howard and Elaine grew up with the Swiss Family Robinson and always dreamed of building a tree house. Shaky Knees started out as a project for the grandchildren, but came to be how you see it today.

Howard and Elaine live on the same property, out of sight from the tree house. They are always available for any questions or concerns and can point you in the direction of world-class fishing and eco-tour operators. Most of all, they are excited to share their dream tree house with you.
