The house is located in the historic part of town, Mouraria, reserved to the Moors when Christians took the town in 1249. Lovingly restored to preserve the caché of the traditional housing it is fully equipped and provides all modern comfort. Set in a quiet street, it is only steps away from the famous market hall and the busy center of Loulé where you can stroll at leisure in the pedestrian streets with their cafés, bars and restarurants. The Portuguese way of life can be found here.

The space
We have restored the house with love for detail and the wish to create a comfortable and cozy place for people to stay. The idea was to combine old-fashioned housing with modern comfort and to provide an easy-access home with the right feel - we have created a place where we feel at home and where our guests may feel at home - away.

Where you’ll be

Loulé, Faro, Portugal

The area is part of the old town of Loulé, reserved to the Moors in the 12th century, cobbled streets and the simple way of life are characteristic for this area. The street of the pottery maker, it is a small, cobbled alley. In the past most of the small houses were occupied by one large family, with cousins and siblings mixing and mingling and still today they stop by to talk about the happy liveliness of the place.

During your stay

My husband was born in Loulé and is on-site to welcome guests and make sure that they settle in well. He is very knowledgable with regards to Portuguese history, culture and is a great storyteller. Asked nicely he will be happy to share!
