Peaceful & private, on Flathead Lake's beautiful Finley Point peninsula, you'll find Nature House.... designed & built for people who like to chill in the woods.

Nature House is for folks who like to watch the water & the clouds move. Who enjoy the warmth of a fire pit. Who like to soak with their sweetie. Or kick butt in shuffleboard. Or hopefully both. More about the space below!

The space
Situated among towering pines, perched on a hillside, with beautiful views of Flathead Lake, you’ll find Nature House… a comfortable, clean, contemporary retreat on Finley Point. Enjoy Nature House’s wooded two acres which are backed by an additional ten acres of conservation easement land, ensuring privacy plus an abundance of wildlife. Grill up dinner on the deck or warm up by the fire pit and listen to the coyotes howl in the distance. Watch the deer, turkeys, and occasional bear. Look up and see osprey, hawks, and eagles flying and calling overhead. All while gazing out over the beautiful, blue waters of famed Flathead Lake, the largest freshwater lake West of the Mississippi.

Nature House is not only a beautiful refuge outside, but inside as well. Designed as a place of respite and rejuvenation for folks looking for a little solitude or for that perfect romantic getaway, Nature House is all about simple comfort. Giant windows make it feel as if you're living in the trees. Take in lake and mountain views while unwinding in the custom concrete soaking tub for two. Let the shower's rain and jet features work their magic on sore, tired muscles. Relax and reconnect.

Nature House features two distinct sleeping areas depending on your mood and needs. Downstairs is a cozy, dark, romantic bedroom with queen size bed and television. Upstairs in the loft, wake up to trees and dazzling lake views in the cloud-like king size bed and enjoy a cup of coffee and good conversation in the comfortable sitting area. Along with wireless internet and 50" Smart televisions in the living room and downstairs bedroom, you’ll find a nice selection of books, music, magazines, and games for entertainment. And shuffleboard! There’s an 8’ shuffleboard table in the loft, for those guests with a bit of a competitive streak! A beautiful full kitchen looking over the lake, dining table for 4-6, propane grill and outdoor seating on the spacious deck, and a stock of basic spices, oils, and condiments, make cooking at home delightful and easy. Love coffee? There's a grinder, French press, traditional drip pot, and coffee grounds all ready for that morning cup!

Finley Point State Park is a quick two miles down the road and is the perfect place to launch your boat, paddle board, or kayak. Or take a short drive on one of the most scenic highways in the country, along the East Shore of Flathead Lake, and explore the waters and orchards of Yellow Bay and Woods Bay. Check out the galleries, theater, and restaurants in Bigfork… maybe book a sunset sailboat cruise! Head just 8 miles South to Polson to stock up on supplies and grab a burger at Richwine’s Burgerville… locally owned and operated since 1962! Take in the spectacular scenery as you play a round of golf at Polson Bay Golf Course. And check out my favorite local watering hole and restaurant, the East Shore Smokehouse... it's just down the street! Getting married? Nature House is only one mile from The Barn at Finley Point and is absolutely perfect for honeymooners! An easy 75 miles from Missoula and 45 miles from Kalispell, Nature House is the perfect getaway for locals and visitors alike!

Cozy and warm, designed with nature in mind and a contemporary sensibility, Nature House is all about comfort and connection to the surrounding landscape. Breathe deep and enjoy!

Hi, thank you so much for considering Nature House for your visit to beautiful Flathead Lake, Montana! I was lucky enough to have landed in Missoula back in 1997 and fell in love with Flathead Lake soon after. I've always been drawn to the water and the woods, and in 2017, I found this little patch of awesomeness and built a home on it. Nature House is just a dream come true for me and I'm so glad to get to share it with you!

During your stay

I fully respect your peace and privacy, so I will simply let you enjoy your stay, but if you have any questions or concerns, you can always reach me via the Airbnb app. I live in the small cabin at the base of the property, but both homes were designed and situated to maximize privacy for all. There is a possibility that you may be able to add "crazy but cute Springer Spaniel" to your "wildlife seen at Nature House" list, but other than that, we are usually off on our own adventures and you probably won't even notice us.
