This's the traditional Javanese wooden house, called Joglo. We combine the real vintage house with modern touch, where you can enjoy a Javanese village ambiance with the modern comfort in the city center.

You book a room (approx 16sqm) with private shower & aircon facing a little garden (total 2 bedrooms available in this house).

The space
We love vintage, we bought the house materials and furniture from all over Java. They are folkart, rustic, vintage and unique.....the real Javanese heritage. We want to bring back the past, the memory when we spent school holidays in our grandparents house in small village.

The characteristic of traditional Javanese wooden house is low door (approx 1.8m height) so we have to bow a bit to show respect to the house owner or relatives. Please mind your head when you stay here :)

We have online vintage shop @penggemarlawas and this house is also our home gallery, hence we periodically replace the furnitures/decoration. The furniture/decoration may not exactly the same as in the photos. If you have specific requirement, please do inform us before making the reservation.

My house is in the housing area (Sempur), near the Botanical Garden, Presidential Palace, Zoological Museum, Coffee Shop/restaurants, a lot of hawkers food and facing Ciliwung river. For sports lover, there're volley arena, soccer field and jogging track in the neighborgood.
There's a small bridge nearby, if you can walk through to see small houses in the kampong across the river.
