Situated in Ards overlooking Sheephaven Bay, the apartment is close to Ards Friary at the edge of the forest with beautiful beaches and forest trails in walking distance. It is perfect for those seeking a tranquil base close to beaches, mountains forests and stunning countryside. For the more active it is a surfers paradise with kayaking, cycling and climbing all on the doorstep. An ideal spot for exploring Donegal.

The space
The apartment adjacent to my house is self- contained and has its own entrance.

The french doors lead into an open plan living area with a double sofa bed, dining table and kitchenette.

The kitchenette dining area consists of basic cooking facilities, 2 ring hob and microwave, toaster kettle, coffee grinder fridge with small freezer compartment, and all pots, pans, crockery and cutlery required to enjoy your stay – there is also a basic larder provided (condiments/tea/coffee/pasta/rice).

A door from the apartment leads to a bedroom with a double bed built in wardrobes. This bedroom has an en-suite toilet and shower room, the shower is electric. I supply towels soaps and shampoos. For those guests with young children I can also supply a toddlers travel cot.

The apartment is heated by oil which is managed from my house adjacent to the property and there is a gas stove in the living area also

There is a deck area out front complete with table and chairs where you can relax overlooking Sheephaven bay and the leafy surroundings

Some additional information regarding Covid safety measures
I have completed a Covid 19 cleaning course and will have 24 hours between bookings to ensure sufficient time to complete the extra cleaning and disinfecting thoroughly and safely,

The apartments will be cleaned to the usual high standards and in addition all areas including the soft furnishings will be steam cleaned and treated with disinfectant. This deeper clean is for the safety of my guests and myself but I will maintain the cleaning fee at the same level as before.

I will no longer be doing the laundry in house, but will be hiring in sheets, towels and tea towels from an accredited laundry service,

Sheets and towels will be in a sealed package in the apartment when guests arrive. This will come at a cost of €15 (Euro) per double bed set which will be payable in cash on arrival. This cost is purely to cover the cost of suppling the service. If guests do not wish to avail of this service they may take the option to bring their own sheets and towels with them. I will need to know 24 hours in advance of arrival which option guests may prefer.

My minimum stay will be three nights for the the months of July August and September, and I will be giving a discount for l weekly of longer bookings these months, but If anyone wishes to book a shorter stay beyond this time period they may contact me and I will try to accommodate.

I moved to Sheephaven Bay in Donegal after falling in love with the place while holidaying in the area. I lived in London prior to that, I've done plenty of traveling internationally and within Ireland, I hike, cycle, sail, kayak, garden, cook, read, tinker and paint. Love nature, pondering, and making things. Life motto? Mmmh…….. “Life is like riding a bike, to keep balance you gotta keep on moving"
