The renovated half-timbered house is located in the courtyard of the old rectory of Kirmutscheid/Werft, just 5 minutes from the Nürburgring. The main house was built in 1709 by Freiherrn Gallen zu Assen for the priest and directly adjoins the church ST Wendelinus, which was built by Count Ulrich of Nuremburg in 1214.
The holiday home with approx. 50sqm of living space was renovated with great attention to detail and renovated only with natural building materials in order not to lose the pleasant indoor climate.

The space
With a rollaway bed, the property is ideal for families with a child.
Kitchen, living room and bedroom form an open unit. The bedroom is on the upper floor under the roof and has a very cozy 2 x 2 m bamboo bed with very good mattresses. The kitchen has a microwave, dishwasher, ceramic hob and fridge as well as other cooking utensils. The rooms are heated with foot/wall heating. A wood-burning stove also creates a cozy atmosphere and the wood is provided by us.

Where you’ll be

Wirft, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany

The entire hill with church, former schoolhouse and the old rectory are protected as a monument as well as a registered bird and natural refuge.

For hikers and cyclists, it is the ideal accommodation as the Wirftbach loop in the large nature conservation project Obere Ahr-Hocheifel "Hiking in the Adenauer Land" begins here, as well as the Ahrradweg as well as some other cycle paths almost start at your doorstep. Hiking and cycling tickets as well as tips are at your disposal.

But also simply relaxing in our beautiful garden in the hammock under the old apple tree or a well-kept beer while grilling are an inviting alternative.
