Great check-in experience
100% of recent guests gave the check-in process a 5-star rating.
We’re delighted to offer our ‘Little House’ at Mount Bruce Lodge for up to four people.

Our experience with guests has been heartening and we've been so lucky to have such great people to meet at our place, and we are so pleased that many guests are returners!

We are in an exciting area where native bush meets rural farms with a lovely towns nearby.

The space
We have two properties side by side, the Little House and the Big House and behind both houses is the Bruce Batique Gallery. All three buildings were brought onto the 5 acre property over the past 20 years or so.

The Little House is a 1950’s home which we decided to preserve some of the mid- century vibe. The Big House was originally a nurses home and it retains the high ceilings and spacious shared areas. The Bruce Batique Gallery is installed in what was a school house, after major repairs and sympathetic renovation.

The Little house has two bedrooms, both with queen size beds
Well appointed kitchen and laundry, with a recently renovated bathroom with shower.
Great vibe in the spacous lounge and dining area.

We will provide a welcome pack of breakfast including fresh fruit, cereals, local eggs, milk, bread and butter, preserves and of course tea and coffee.

My wife and I love hosting guests, we really look forward to them arriving and have had some great conversations. 5 things I can't live without is music, gardening, NZ native birds, driving and of course my family! Travelling around NZ is amazing, we've travelled around the world and still love NZ and happy to be back here. And Bruce Boutique Gallery is a great place to come and see our work. My wife makes the most amazing home made bread and cakes and we love gardening so as to eat lots of our own produce!
