Potters Cottage is a 900 square foot cottage on five acres in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. It’s secluded, but just 12 minutes from downtown San Marcos and Texas State University.
The cottage has two bedrooms and a full kitchen. There’s an ample dining area, a large living room and full bath. Wi-fi, central air and heat and washer/dryer complete the cottage’s amenities. Potters cottage is just minutes from hiking trails, tubing and kayaking on the San Marcos River.

The space
Welcome to Potters Cottage.

It’s a ten minute drive into San Marcos and the San Marcos river. Wimberly, on the beautiful Blanco river is a 25 minute drive. Gruene, on the Guadalupe river is also25 minutes away. Austin is 28 miles north and San Antonio 50 miles south. Like our home, Potters Cottage uses exclusively rainwater, the softest water there is.

Relax and enjoy the wide, shady porch in the peace and quiet of the Texas Hill Country or take a jaunt into town and sample San Marcos’s many fine restaurants, brew pubs and other watering holes.

Sorry, no pets allowed. Ours are very friendly and will try to convince you to let them into the cottage, but they are not allowed. Potters Cottage is for adults only. Owner's private pottery studio is on the premesis with a separate entrance.
