Beckets Run Cottage—close to Charlottesville, yet close to the Blue Ridge, wineries and craft beer venues. Modern interior with covered, screen porch that overlooks our horse pastures. One bedroom (queen) , living room/dining area with new wood burning stove and full sleeper sofa. Kitchen has coffee maker, toaster, plates, glasses, utensels for four. Baseboard electric heat and AC in bedroom. Great place to sit back and relax between your excursions. A quiet country retreat. Come visit us!

Hello! I’m George. Vocationally, I’m an internationally recognized workplace wellness expert, author, publisher, and consultant with over 40 years experience. I’m a former competitive distance runner and marathoner (won five) and avid golfer. I live with my wife of 16 years Michaela, three horses, and two dogs-Mikey and Mac.

Michaela is from Cologne, Germany and is a horse breeder. She loves riding, animals and entertaining.

Things that we enjoy are good company, relaxing by the pool or patio with a good bottle of wine, restaurants, and occasional travel.

As Super Hosts we respect our guest’s privacy and wish that their experience prompts them to visit us again.

We enjoy the quiet of our 10 acre farmette and surrounding nature. We are 12 .5 miles from UVA and 4 to 15 miles from wineries, hard cider, and craft beer venues. The Blue Ridge Parkway is 20 miles.
