Where you’ll be

Bala, Ontario, Canada

There are many great winter activities in the area, including the Cranberry Ice Skating Trail, extensive snowmobile and cross country ski trails, dog sledding, sleigh and wagon rides, and ice fishing. There is also regular year-round indoor pickle ball only few blocks from the house.

Muskoka offers one of Ontario’s most extensive snowmobile trail networks, making it one of the more popular snowmobiling vacation destinations in the province. With over 1,600 kms of OFSC trails criss-crossing the region, snowmobilers can literally drop their sled and head in any direction.

You can also enjoy Muskoka’s incredible skating trails. The Cranberry Ice Trail, located only minutes away, offers a 1.2 km loop around 12 acres of cranberries! This narrowly designed skating trail really creates an intimate feel, perfect for hand holding with your special someone, or locking arms with your girlfriends. After a skate on frozen cranberry beds, you can enjoy a tutored wine tasting at the Marsh & Winery of their fruit wines, or warm up by the fire with a cup of hot mulled cider & wine, or a wine and cheese platter. The Cranberry Ice Trail is certainly a more refined skating experience, and great for adults looking for a new and exciting winter experience.

In the summer, there are numerous public beaches, provincial parks, tennis courts, golf courses, and other recreational activities conveniently located within short distances.
