This is a cosy stone house in the middle of an olive field in Ovacık town in Çeşme, Izmir. It is designed in a one and a half floor studio fashion. Peaceful is the true word to describe the living here, surrounded by 100 olive trees, some almond and fig trees. It is perfect for some rest in nature or creative work of any kind. The wonderful seas of Ovacık is 10 min, the closest city center Çeşme is 3 min and famous Alaçatı town is 10 min. drive away.

The space
This place is a magical escape. Peaceful, quiet, slow and natural are the words to describe living here. Only crowd is the 100 olive trees accompanying. Yet one can easily be connected to city centers (Alaçatı, Çeşme, Ilıca) The sea is really perfect and 10 minutes away, as in the photograph above. Çeşme is popular with its seas all around the peninsula, all to be discovered. There's always some light wind that makes living here easy in high summer temperatures. The wonderful sunset is a special time of the day. It has silent and starry nights. The neighbor houses are about half a mile away. Our olive orchard field is surrounded with a light fence. It is safe in terms of animals yet there are always some fun squirrels to accompany.

Where you’ll be

Çeşme, İzmir, Turkey

Çeşme is a popular summer residence area 1 hour of drive from the city of İzmir and Adnan Menderes airport. Çeşme region has major attraction centers around its coasts. Alaçatı, Ilıca, Çeşme village, etc... Ovacık, where our house is, is the region just in the middle of the peninsula which is maximum 3 to 15 minutes drive to these centers above. It is somewhat like Toscana, with fields of vineyards or olive fields, with scattered stone houses within. It is away from the huge crowd of those popular centers. Yet the closest city center of Çeşme is 3 minutes away. The wonderful seas of Ovacık is 10 minutes away. The antique Greek town Erythrai (Ildır in Turkish), is one of the twelve Ionian cities of Greek civilization is situated 22 km north of Çeşme and is worth to see.
