This 300 year old house with a modern standard is located in a tranquil, natural and impressive surrounding.

The house and its surroundings have a fairytale like, rustic, charming and mystical ambience. The perfect place to relax, enjoy and be.

Hiking, swimming and outdoor-activities at location or just a few minutes away.

Shopping and entertainment close by. Lago Maggiore is only 20 min. away by car or bus.

Fire place and wood stove must be used in winter.

The space
This Boutique Rustico is set up charmingly in an antique but warm and friendly way. When you enter this home, you are going to have a special and magical experience. I have given much care for artful and gentle design combined with functionality and modern equipment. You can be sure that you are going to have a peaceful and inspiring time here.

It is important to know that in colder seasons the antique wood stove should be used. There is also an open fire place. Please prepare well for this experience. After booking I will send detailed handbooks and information which must be read beforehand and followed. This serves your safety and the preservation of valuable equipment, furniture and the house itself. This is an old stone house and one cannot expect the comfort a modern house has today. Temperatures in Winter can be at times moderate. Sun hours on the shortest day of the year are only about 5 hours, yet with possibilities of stretching those hours depending on your activities.

The house is located right above the forest with an amazing and open view onto mountains, lake (Vogorno), open sky and green spaces. Mergoscia is a beautiful, friendly village with many old rock houses, small alleys that can be explored and at times one seems to in an ancient world. Yet, it is only 15 - 20 minutes from shopping, swimming and entertainment venues that can be found in Locarno, Ascona, Bellinzona and Lago Maggiore. Italy can be reached within only 40 Minutes. Milano can be reached within the hour.
