Where you’ll be

The Hague, South Holland, Netherlands

Weimarstraat in The Hague is a 19th century neighborhood with great ethnic diversity, closeby many (ethnic) grocery shops, supermarkets, health foods, great restaurants and cafes, vintage stores. Even a theater in an old swimming pool: de Nieuwe Regentes.
There are galleries and artist-studio’s in the neighborhood: Electriciteitsfabriek, NEST, Zaal 3 theaters, all just a short walk from my front door.

I live in the Hague for more than 10 years, after a life of more than 20 + years in the USA and other places abroad. It is great to exchange homes and travel, especially with two daughters living in the USA. As an anthropologist, I am fascinated by people of all cultures. The Hague, Den Haag in Dutch, is a city at the sea and with its dunes, beaches and the wide-open sky not to be missed in summer, fall, spring, ánd winter. The city is quiet, yet has a lot to offer as far as culture~~: classical music, jazz, dance, an excellent film house, musea (Mauritshuis, Photomuseum, contemporary art in Gemeente museum, etc. There are fun restaurants and shops. Besides, the city is very green and surrounded by parks and woody areas. To conclude, a delight and there is something for everyone.
